The premier domestic carrier of Sri Lanka, Daya Aviation has received an award for “Excellent Service Provider” to the tourism industry as a domestic aviation service in the Eastern Province, Sri Lanka.
Initially starting as an aviation firm, Daya Aviation has now expanded to cater all travel trade needs. Apart from chartering aircraft or selling air tickets and hotel rooms, the firm now provides more services such as organizing overseas training programmes and VVIP diplomatic tours in Sri Lanka
We are probably the only local aviation firm that operated continuously during the last 10 years serving the public even during the war times. Now with an IATA accredited ticketing firm and separate departments to handle inbound and outbound our next step forward is to provide a 4G travel service, giving a total solution to all the travel trade needs, says Director Marketing Isuru Wijeratne.
The award was presented by the British High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Hon John Rankin on Saturday the 27th September 2014 at the event organized by the Chamber of Tourism and Industry Sri Lanka to commemorate the world tourism day.
